Artnerships

I'm so lucky. I have made friends with some outstanding people. I'm especially lucky that they honour me by allowing their work to be presented alongside mine. These are not videos or narratives. These are collected works of talented individuals, set to music.

THE LAST REWIND

artwork by Zoë Stonyk

This is the work of artist Zoë Stonyk. Zoë's unique vision and personal style conjure up for me a tea party with Wes Anderson and Edward Gorey at Jay Gatsby's place.

COMEDOWN

artwork by Lizz de Savoye

This is the work of artist Lizz de Savoye. Her art's long tree-branch fingered hand takes yours and leads you through a day-glow graveyard where tattoos come to afterlife, where Death has a sweet tooth and introduces you to rabbits who party harder than you ever will.

EMOTIONAL

artwork by Brent Andrew Doty

This is the work of artist Brent Andrew Doty. His work is rarely content with singularity and instead layers observations over observationalism, saturates fear with iconography and moves between portraiture and caricature.

PICK A DIRECTION

artwork & video by Michelle Parise

This is the work of artist Michelle Parise. Often starting as doodles to keep her right brain busy while her left brain is on a phone call, but then layered with ink, nostalgia, song lyrics and the bursts and swirls of colour from behind your eyelids. She makes landscapes with longing, makes you both the little girl in the picture and the woman watching her, and does studies of the heart shape... the strongest shape in the world.
